For Those in Nigeria:

If you stay in Nigeria and you want to renew your passport, follow these simple steps and all will be done.

• Use portal.immigration.gov.ng to log in.
• From the menu for passports, click the tab for new or renewed passports.
• Select “Standard e-passport” from the drop-down menu for the passport type.
• Choose a country, such as Nigeria, from the processing country drop-down menu.
  the “Start application” button.
• Fill out the form and accurately fill out all of the fields.
• Tick “I fully accept responsibility for the data I have entered on this form.
• A unique application ID and reference number are generated by the portal for your application.
• The acknowledgement form must be printed before you can “Continue application.”
• Click “next.”
• “Proceed to online payments” should be clicked.
• Please be aware that this is the ONLY platform for authorized payments.
• Any of the following are acceptable: Innovate1pay, Net Post Pay, Pay Arena, Teasy, and Saana Pay.
• Then click Next.
• You can choose to pay with a card or a bank account.
• Click on “proceed to pay”
• Complete details if you chose the card option.
• If a bank, print the slip for further processing at the bank after making the cash payment at the POS.
• Please take note that the portal’s listed payment gateway is the approved one.

For Those In Diaspora

For those that are not in Nigeria and need to renew their passport, follow these steps.

• Use portal.immigration.gov.ng to log in.

• Choose “Country” (e.g., the United Kingdom) from the processing country drop-down menu.
• You are automatically redirected from the portal to the Innovate1 Pay website of our international partner.
• You must pay attention to the instruction on the front page.
• To begin an application, click.
• You must have a valid email address, such as Yahoo or Gmail, to continue; if you don’t, click the Open ID tab.
• Select an email tab, then properly log into your email account.
• Fill out the form and accurately fill out all of the fields.
• Check the box next to “I accept full responsibility for the data on this form.”
• A unique application ID and reference number are generated by the portal for your application.
• The acknowledgement form must be printed before you can “Continue application.”
• Then click Next.
• “Proceed to online payments” should be clicked.
• Make your payment and you are done

In both cases, make sure to print your acknowledgement slip which is what will help you or be shown as evidence of payment.
